Information we use

We use your email address, display name and sign-in credentials to create and secure your account. We store the commitments, members, daily check-ins, comments, text evidence, links and photos you choose to share, invitations, reports and in-app activity.

If you join the waitlist, we use your email address to notify you about Versus Habit early access. A signup notification is sent through Resend to waitlist@versushabit.com and retained in that mailbox until it is deleted. Contact us at that address to request removal or opt out of launch updates.

If you enable reminders, we use a commitment’s schedule and your check-ins to decide when to notify you. A notice about an upcoming end date appears in Activity for each participant; its push notification follows your reminder preferences. If you enable push notifications, we store this device’s push token. If you choose a contact to invite, the app uses only the contact you select to prepare an email or text message. We do not upload your address book.

How information is used and shared

We use information to provide account access, show group progress, manage invitations and disputes, moderate content and deliver activity notices. Participants in a commitment can see its rules, check-ins and shared content. Anyone with an active invitation link may see a limited preview before joining.

Convex hosts app data. Resend delivers account and waitlist emails, and Expo helps deliver push notifications if you enable them. Versus Habit does not process payments or transfers for any optional amount participants write into a commitment.

Your choices

When configured, the landing page uses Meta Pixel to measure page visits and successful waitlist signups. Meta may receive browser and device information and use cookies for advertising measurement. We do not include your waitlist email in these events. Browser tracking protection or an ad blocker may prevent this measurement.

You can turn reminders and push notifications off separately, block participants, report content and request account deletion from Profile. A deletion request cuts off account access and purges account data and your content in batches. Commitments you created are archived without their text, schedules or optional amount. Check-ins made by other people may remain visible to them in a generic commitment.

If you block a participant, we hide their messages, evidence, notices and display name in your leaderboard and results. Their progress figures continue to count toward the shared agreement.
